Premier League
Leicester is currently in second-to-last place in the league standings with only 25 points to their name. They have only managed to earn one point in their last six Premier League matches (one draw and five losses), prompting the club’s management to part ways with their head coach, Brendan Rodgers, after four years. As a result, the popular “Foxes” will enter their upcoming match without their main coach. The situation is alarming, as their survival in the league is in question, something that was not expected at the start of the championship. They generally have no problem scoring goals (39), but their defense is extremely weak, having conceded 49 goals so far, making them one of the weakest defenses in the league. Additionally, they have struggled at home, currently being the second-weakest home team in the league in terms of points earned. They will be missing R. Bertrand (defender), J. Vestergaard (defender), J. Justin (defender), J. Evans (defender), and Y. Tielemans (midfielder – 3 goals / 1 assist), while D. Praet’s (midfielder – 1 goal) appearance is in question.
Expected lineup (4-2-3-1) – D. Iversen – R. Pereira, D. Amartey, W. Faes, T. Castagne – B. Soumare, K. Dewsbury-Hall – Tete, J. Maddison, H. Barnes – K. Iheanacho
Aston Villa is currently the team with the best form and results in the Premier League after Arsenal. The team from Birmingham has not lost in their last five matches, winning four of them. Thus, since the arrival of their new coach, Unai Emery, the entire team has undoubtedly been playing significantly better, resulting in very good results. They especially played exceptionally well in the previous two rounds, winning convincingly at home against Bournemouth with a score of 3:0, and then winning in London against the favored Chelsea. Therefore, with great form and a high degree of self-confidence, they go into this away game. If they continue with such performances, they have quite good chances of potentially qualifying for the Conference League. They will be missing J. Steer (goalkeeper), M. Cash (defender – 1 assist), and Coutinho (midfielder – 1 goal).
Expected lineup (4-2-3-1) – E. Martinez – A. Young, E. Konsa, T. Mings, A. Moreno – D. Luiz, J. McGinn, H. Ramsey – E. Buendia, O. Watkins, L. Bailey
Editor’s opinion: When we compare the current forms and momentum of both teams, there is no doubt that the Birmingham team is the favorite. Lester City has lost their coach, and we will see how that affects the players. However, for the hosts, the “devil has taken a joke,” and this is a very important game for them, where breaking their streak of poor results and earning points is a big imperative. The “Foxes” have a lot of quality in attack, but their defense is really weak, and as they face a highly motivated Aston Villa team, we can expect a very interesting match with goals galore…
