Lorient, though, are only two points clear of bottom three, meaning that Friday’s clash is of big importance for them. Both Stephane Diarra and Fabien Lemoine are sidelined with injuries, while talented forward Ibrahima Kone should be recalled to the starting XI after scoring the winner at Brest.
Lyon suffered a 1-0 loss to Lille in their last league fixture, with the team dropping to 10th position in the standings. Lyon now have slim chances of booking their place in the Champions League, but they could still secure a top-five finish.
